The Journey That Shaped My Purpose
I’m Cheyenne, a holistic health practitioner with a bachelor’s degree in Holistic Human Development and Ayurveda, specializing in biological function and natural living. But my most profound education has come through lived experience—navigating trauma, motherhood, and a complex constellation of health challenges that conventional medicine couldn’t resolve.
My Story
My path hasn’t been linear. From experiencing homelessness and sexual assault, to becoming pregnant at 17 and losing my first son, to being alienated from my second son while serving in the military—trauma has been a constant companion. But by far, my greatest trauma has been motherhood itself: the weight of not having good examples, the fear of not being enough, and the crushing responsibility to break generational patterns.
After the birth of my daughter, I began seeing myself in her, questioning everything I thought I knew. This, coupled with ketamine therapy for motherhood PTSD, cracked me open to profound realizations about my body and being.
For years, doctors told me I was “physically fine” despite my struggles with chronic pain, fatigue, and nervous system dysregulation. My body had been in fight-or-flight mode for so long that it essentially crashed. I collected diagnoses like puzzle pieces: EDS, ADHD, autism, anxiety, PCOS, MDD, IBS, gluten and casein intolerance, POTS/Dysautonomia—what I call “the alphabet soup” of modern medicine.
When conventional approaches failed me, I took matters into my own hands. Through extensive research and personal experimentation, I discovered that the root cause of my constellation of symptoms was cellular dysfunction, likely stemming from inflammation triggered by various forms of trauma—or undigested materials trapped in the body- including unprocessed experiences, as well as toxins and physical damage.

By blending insights from Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and contemporary health research, we provide tailored knowledge in nutrition, handcrafted herbal remedies, and various educational resources. We recognize that true well-being encompasses the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our being. Our interconnectedness as energetic beings highlights the importance of understanding our individual needs, as our choices impact not only our health but also the well-being of our communities and the planet.

As I continue my own healing journey, I’ve witnessed significant improvements in some areas while others remain ongoing challenges. Reversing years of adverse treatment of our bodies is no simple task; it requires patience, persistence, and deep compassion. I created this platform to offer what I wished I had during my struggles: a guide who understands both the science and the lived experiences of chronic health challenges and trauma. Here, we honor the interconnectedness of all aspects of wellness and believe in the power of shared knowledge alongside personalized guidance.

Understanding Chronic Inflammation: A Journey Back to Balance
Inflammation is the body’s natural defense mechanism, a vital response to injury or infection. However, when inflammation persists, it can become a silent disruptor, leading to a cascade of negative effects on our health and well-being. Chronic inflammation can damage cell structures, impair communication between cells, and disrupt essential cellular processes. Our unique genetic makeup plays a crucial role in how our bodies manage inflammation, influencing our ability to produce antioxidant enzymes and regulate detoxification pathways that eliminate toxins.
When cellular processes are disrupted, a domino effect occurs. Malfunctioning cells struggle to perform their vital roles, impacting surrounding tissues and organs, and leading to widespread imbalances. This shift from a state of harmony (homeostasis) to one of ongoing adaptation (allostasis) and if not balanced in a timely manner can increase the allostatic load and pave the way for chronic disease. By understanding the intricate interplay of inflammation, genetics, and cellular function, we can empower ourselves to make informed choices that support our bodies’ natural healing abilities.
Over the years, we have conducted extensive independent research in addition to what we have learned through formal education. As we continue our journey towards wellness, we have discovered that many diseases and disorders may share a similar root cause—a cascade effect resulting from cellular dysfunction. This dysfunction is often driven by cellular inflammation and improper function, which can lead to structural and functional changes in the body. While the specific causes of inflammation or physiological dysfunction can vary—such as trauma, accumulated toxins, lifestyle factors, inherited traits, and epigenetics—understanding how your body functions and recognizing its needs for optimal health is essential.
